Italian artist Paola Grizi’s terracotta sculptures was recognized in general that her job was excellent according to deep emotion via expressions on each face. This was quoted from her artist statement “Sometimes the faces emerge from the material are as epiphanies of the consciousness”.
In Grizi’s website, when she was a child, she always loved art and wanted to develop this work. Based on this work, it might be known that it might be the work from her grandfather i.e. painter and sculptor. In 2014, she might win the 3rd Biannual International ceramics contest of Ascoli Piceno. This was invited by Chinese Changchun Municipality in presenting of Italy at 3rd China Changchun International Ceramics Symposium. Thus, some of her sculptures were permanently made of fair in the city’s World Sculpture Park.
Releasing in Italy’s Arte Magazine, she tried to explain how a challenging event induced her to make some incredible artwork. This was cited by her words “After graduating from high school in classical studies and earning a degree in literature, I worked for a long time in the journalistic and editorial fields until my [son’s] arrival. That’s when I was ‘induced’ to quit my job. Such misadventure happened to be a possibility for change. I chose an activity – perhaps less safe yet, extremely creative and satisfying for myself.”
